Re: Cindy Sheehan
This article paints Cindy Sheehan as an "angry mother". It marginalizes her, it marginalizes her emotions, and it margininalizes everything we stand for.

Usually Deb Reichman is pretty fair, but there's more to this than just being "Angry" dammit.

Does anyone have her email address over at Associated Press? We could write the LA Times, but they're just repeating the story, I'd like to stop this crap at the source.

3. "Angry" means you don't have to listen. The tag they hung on Dean.

5. I just sent this email
Deb Reichman called her "angry" in a way that marginalized the anger of countless families across the United States. To say that she was just "angry" for the loss of her only child is to truly avoid the question of why is she angry, and why are countless others angry.

You're damn right she's angry, but unless Deb Reichman explores the reasoning for this anger, she does Cindy Sheehan and everyone that has protested this bullsh*t war from day one a disservice.

I'd appreciate it if from now on the Associated Press would take a less partisan approach to reporting. You don't get your paychecks from the United States Government, you don't owe them any favors. You do however owe us reporting that digs in to a story. Instead of simply labelling a mother of a fallen son "Angry" why not investigate the Downing Street Memos, or look at how the White House tried to discredit the source of news it didn't want to hear regarding Iraq trying to buy Uranium from Nigeria.

Connect the dots, follow the money. This "administration" has done as absolutetly horrific job of covering its tracks, yet the press has done an even worse job following them.

6. Compare the media's treatment of this mother...
... one who lost her beloved son who, while wearing the uniform of his country, died far from home in a war based on a terrible lie.... to the mother who lost her vacationing daughter in Aruba.

'Nuff said about the state of the media in this country.
