2. Vote NO on everything
Edited on Wed Sep-03-03 08:08 PM by Gman
Except for #12, I don't know much about anything else on the ballot. However, what I know about the amendments doesn't matter. And, I rarely, if ever, vote on the off year constitutional amendments. All I need to know is that these amendments were put on the ballot by a GOP legislature and signed by a GOP governor. There can be nothing good about any of them. So, I'll make a point to vote NO on everthing. I doubt I'll even read the wording.

Does anyone else think it's wierd that the election is in September this year rather than in November as it's been for as long as I can remember (back to '72 when I started voting)? What's the GOP's game plan here? They have to think they have some kind of an advantage having the election in September rather than November.

3. Some of the amendments are worthy of a yes vote
Prop 12 is a definite NO

Prop 15 to protect promised pensions is a yes in my opinion.

7. Prop. 12 is not the answer...
... California has very strict award limits, and doctors there actually pay higher premiums than the national average!

6. KDHNews redistricting poll
Please take this poll:

Do you support the governor calling a third special session to address congressional redistricting?
http://www.kdhnews.com

I suspect it's been freeped. This morning the "No" vote was waaaay ahead of the "Yes" vote, now it's reversed.

Thanks!

10. Reminder - Vote on Saturday
You have the power to send Rick Perry a message that things are going to change around here. Take 5 minutes of your time on Saturday to make it loud and clear. He's going around the state campaigning for Prop 12 and his rep is on the line. He called a 3rd special session for Monday so he could go out and campaign for 12. Wouldn't it be great if he had egg on his face when the session opens.

Vote NO on Prop 12.

11. Damn people in our state are just plain stupid
They f**ing passed everything. These are the sheeple that trust government to do right by them. I was hoping some of these sheeple were waking up. Sure doesn't look like they did in Texas. We did at least put up a better fight on Prop 12. We lost by about 28,000 votes and for a statewide race that was amazing. I sure wish it had been 28,000 win in our favor though.

F**k Perry and his repuke business cronies.

Results for the whole state here
