Protesters picket outside Senator Chafee’s office

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A dozen protesters picketed outside Senator Lincoln Chafee’s Providence office yesterday afternoon.

The protesters said they were motivated by President Bush’s nomination of John Roberts to the U-S Supreme Court and by a pharmacist’s refusal to fill a prescription for an emergency contraceptive. <snip>
