Kucinich 9/4 meetup report

I attended my 3rd meetup last night. There is still no one else here in my republican town campaigning for any dem presidential candidate (although the small dem club is busy on the recall). I'm still driving an hour down to the SF Valley. I've gotten to meet a great group of people.

Our group is becoming more organized, and we are dividing up responsibilities and forming sub-groups. We've got a lot on our plates in September. I'll be manning the booth at the LA County Fair one day, and am trying to find a couple of interested people who have never heard of Dennis to take to the house party on 9/21. I say "the" house party, because Dennis will be there!

It's also my job to track down a few members of the local dem club and see where they are with the primary.

1. The St. Paul MeetUp had new people

I only knew the three regular volunteers for Minnesota for Kucinich. Other than that, everyone was new.

We put on a Dennis rally in August that brought around a thousand people to Central High School to hear Dennis speak, so we're not planning for another visit so soon.

We translated the 10 Points Flyer into several languages, all available at the website. We also sent a few carloads of people down to Iowa for Labor Day, helping Dennis to have the best turnout of all the candidates in the parade and the rally in Des Moines.

We're working on endorsements, and getting people to the caucuses now, and that's a lot of what we talked about at MeetUp.

It's been a very productive month in Minnesota and Iowa for Dennis!
