The people of New Orleans and the gulf coast of Mississippi are SMASHED! they need help and it seems like every available civilian boat is out rescuing people.

where the fuck is the national guard and the military equipment that would help exponentially in rescuing all of the people??

Being wasted in an illegal war that chief monkey brains wanted to start from the very beginning of its presidency!!!!

the nationAL guard needs to be home to guard the nation and be here for the civilian populations protection from enemies and natural disasters JUST LIKE THIS ONE!!!

hammer your representatives about the guard and its missing equipment, hammer them about the chimps decision to slash 71 million from hurricane projects in new orleans and hammer him for his mixing politics into the human tragedy during his news conferences on hurricane katrina.

5. I really think this is the start

4. No Navy boats?

I grew up on Navy bases and there are lots of small boats -- Navy boats. Plus rescue equipment -- why aren't these being used?

I don't have a tv -- so please keep an eye out for the Navy personnel.

As I wrote in another thread -- my dad went out to help in civilian disasters in several states. Some of my earliest memories are of my dad helping rescue people stranded during heavy flooding and after a Tsunami hit Hawaii.

If the military doesn't throw every piece of equipment it has to help then I am afraid the US military as I knew it is DEAD. If the military doesn't mount a massive rescue effort then it has been taken over by evil forces.

I wonder how the retired military feels -- the ones who went out on the same sort of rescues that my dad participated in all during his long military career???
