Please start an online petition for a paper audit trail for voting!
I do not have the means to do this, but if we don't start on this issue, it won't mean anything if we defeat bu$h. And it looks like Diebold is making headway. Without a paper audit trail, like a receipt for the voter, and a paper print out, we could lose our Democracy and everything to the corporate pigs.

If you know anyone at one of the online groups, like moveon.org, or other please talk to them.

1. I don't know how, but if gas pumps can print a receipt, why not...
voting machine. Whatever happened to that woman who said she could prove that those touch-screen things were hackable?

2. yes this issue is really getting crucial
Here's another stinking story on Diebold. A gaffe they call it, I call it fraud. Diebold should be banned from this industry

Gaffe Casts Doubts on Electronic Voting
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=562&e=4&u=/ap/electronic_voting
The strange case of an election tally that appears to have popped up on the Internet hours before polls closed is casting new doubts about the trustworthiness of electronic voting machines.

During San Luis Obispo County's March 2002 primary, absentee vote tallies were apparently sent to an Internet site operated by Diebold Election Systems Inc., the maker of the voting machines used in the election.

At least that's what timestamps on digital records showed.
County election officials say the unexplained gaffe probably didn't influence the vote, and Diebold executives — who only recently acknowledged the lapse — say voters should have confidence in the election process.

Yeah right and we're supposed to trust Diebold why? Another case for http://www.blackboxvoting.com/ and they are discussing the article now.
