9/11 "aftermath" screenings-video available for Dem events- fight Showtime
From today's email: North American Screenings of AfterMath on 9/11:

This Thursday will mark the two year anniversary of the tragic terrorist attacks on the United States. While, for many Americans this event is now a part of history, many others remain uncertain about the government's response to, and potential foreknowledge of, the 9/11 crisis. Mainstream media will undoubtedly use the opportunity to look back, with uncritical enthusiasm, at the event that "changed our lives forever." To countermainstream propaganda like Showtime's DC 9/11, our comrades at GNN have organized an international screening event for AfterMath to be held in
cities across North America.

The videos will be shown in theatres, libraries, school classrooms and living rooms. It doesn't matter what size the venue - what is important is that the film be used as a discussion tool that can generate healthy debate about how the event has been characterized by the mainstream media and exploited by the U.S. government.

If this is something you want to do, visit the AfterMath: Unanswered
Questions from 9/11 page at
http://www.guerrillafunk.com/video/aftermath.html and get information about the film there. If you are going to do a press release for your screening, you can quote reviews of AfterMath from these sources: Ain't It Cool News
(http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=16011), PopMatters
(http://www.popmatters.com/film/reviews/a/aftermath-unanswered-questions.shtml), The Oakland Tribune and San Jose's Metro Magazine
(http://www.metroactive.com/papers/metro/05.01.03/gnn-0318.html). It may also be of interest to local press that AfterMath has been screened in Germany, Mexico, Italy and the UK and has been translated into four languages...

For their programs, GNN typically show two short films (War Conspiracy and S-11 Redux) before the film. These can be found on the Ammo for the Info-Warrior DVD available at www.guerrillafunk.com and www.gnn.tv. For those who are interested, GNN will provide both DVDs, Ammo for the Info-Warrior and AfterMath at a reduced rate, as well as some large movie-sized posters from the SF screening. For more information contact:joshe@gnn.tv

Film Description

With the ongoing confusion over who should lead the federal probe into the September 11 terrorist attacks, we decided to pre-empt the government and produce our own version of a truth commission. Narrated by Hip Hop artist Paris and featuring interviews shot by GNN syndicate producers in six cities, AfterMath features nine people answering eleven of the most pressing questions that emanate from the terrible and, as yet, unexplained, events of that day. As you will see, these are questions that continue to overshadow
and critically challenge the official 'version' of the story.
