Hey! I went to meetup.com with the intention of starting a democratic underground meetup and was pleasantly surprised to find that there already was one. Unfortunately it's really, really small. We need more people to go and register on meetup.com and sign up for the DU meetup.
If you don't know what meetup is I'll tell you. It's simply an organizational tool for people to get together for real face to face discussion, eating, acting and what not. It's very easy to use and absolutely free (although there are sections you can pay for if you want, I don't).
There are also seperate meetups for most political candidates and not just for the presidency, Senate, House, Governor, if you suggest a politician for a meetup they'll likely accept it they're really cool about it.
For instance the top political meetups are:
1. Dean in 2004 (>111,400 members)
2. Clark in 2004 (>13,900)
3. Kucinich in 2004 (>12,600)
(cool huh?)
So go check it out, register and lets us DUer's meet each other in a more real sense and properly organize resistance. This is the grassroots and as Democrats, liberals, everyday people this is what we do best, it's our home turf and it's time to take it back from the freepin' republicans. See you there.
