I thought up a great way to get out the vote: BUSINESS CARDS
Cheap and easy for everyone to make

I started a thread in the lounge about how folks are complimenting me about either my pro-kerry or anti-bush clothes & pins that I wear. Sometimes I have some kerry stuff on me and I'll give the person a sticker or pin. But many times I have nothing.

But not anymore!!!

I'm going to get some of those business card sheets you can find at any office supply store and I'm going and I'm going to print hundreds of them out with the following message:

Thanks for noticing my shirt!
If you’d like to get one for yourself
visit:http://www.kerrygear.com /1-800-400-0074
Or http://www.cafepress.com/du_store
And don’t forget to vote on Nov 2nd, 2004
To find your polling place in DE call:
CALLING FROM: NEW CASTLE COUNTY- DIAL 577-3000
KENT & SUSSEX COUNTIES - DIAL 1-800-464-4357
OUTSIDE DELAWARE - DIAL 1-800-273-9500

The top is nice because people want to know where I get my stuff and it's usually either from the DU store or Kerry Gear (and I included an 800 number people can use to order kerry gear).

But even better is the bottom part. I found the phone numbers people can use in the state of delaware where folks can call and find their polling places. I mean, the biggest problem with election day is folks don't know where to vote. (or for that matter when to vote).

I think we should all make a bunch of these with the main message of when to vote and where to call if you need assistance with finding your voting place!!!

2. You can even get them made free
from Vista Print. YOu can order 200 free and just pay for S & H. I ordered some for my nonprofit and they were very nice. I ordered them by the cheapest route - pony express - and got them within a week. I was pretty pleased.

Great idea! Great, great idea!

4. Good thought Lynne.
I had a similar one. I started distributing cards with the DoYouKnow.org? website on them at theaters showing F911 when I heard that the majority of people going to see that movie left the cinema wanting more information. DoYouKnow.org? presents just facts and news citations about the Bush* Administration's damning record - a very non-confrontational approach for undecideds.
