Why not threads on issues instead of candidates
Why are there not threads on national health care, the environment, military spending adding the VA budget, the War on Drugs, and requiring a majority to win elected office? All the threads seems to be candidate oriented instead of bringing the power of the Internet on presenting material on the key issues.

I think the plutocracy knows Bu$h is going down. They are going after the ANWAR oil in a hurry and want the mercury levels increased in short order. Everything is on railroad tracks trying to build momentum to get all the plutocracy goodies through before the pendulem swings back to sanity.

We all know about PNAC or not to PNAC. Isn't world domination and perpetual war worthy of discussing without going off on tangents. How about threads that are issue oriented. Here is one that appeared today on global domination- http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO312A.html

3. I think if people cared about the issues, Kucinich would be on top
Too many people are interested in perceived popularity. The trouble is that the candidate who easily wins the nomination might find it impossible to win the general election.

5. Because it will still end up being a mud sling fest over candidates...
"My candidate supports issue A while candidate B does not." and so forth

6. it might be nice to see
how the candidates compare to each other on the issues...

For example, health care:

Candidate A's plan is such'n'such
Candidate B's plan is sucn'n'such...

7. Because this election is not just about issues, it's about leadership
for the Dem Party against the Bush juggernaut next year and for our Country's future, so the candidates ability to lead their campaigns is a prelude to how they will lead as the Dem nominee and President.

Kucinich may have better issues than others but his campaign leadership is poor and the polls show that.

Dean, who started out as an asterick in the polls last year, now leads them and the fundraising race. It's obvious that Dean tapped into the source of anger and frustration of the Democratic base and gave voice to that base better than Kucinich. But Dean didn't just ride that anger and frustration, he skillfully channeled into a campaign of Hope. His use of Meetups and the Internet helped his supporters channel their anger into team building exercises to contact other citizens, who were also angry or alarmed at the state of our nations affairs, to join Dean's team.

Dean also convinced us that our contribution dollars now were as much a vote for Democracy as our votes in the primaries will be next year. But Dean just didn't relax after he won the 2nd quarter fundraising battle. He had a strategy session with his staff right after that feat and planned ahead for the next quarter and beyond. Planning ahead is a trait that should be expected of world class leaders, like the President of the United States, and it's one that Dean apparently excels at.
