I want her!!!!!
I still can't believe she didn't get re-elected in TX. Do you realize that was the beginning of the end for our country??? If she had won, then bush wouldn't have been Governor of TX, then what route would he have had to the White House?
Well, if it's true that she's endorsing Dean, that's one I'm jealous of. Now you'll get ALL the good one-liners... :(

Well, My DAD used to KNOW Ann Richards... and, well... ummmmmm, well uhhhh... YEAH, if you had managed to get out the vote in Texas, then this WHOLE THING WOULDN'T have HAPPENED!!! YEAH, that's it, I'm blaming SLINKERWINK for BUSH BEING IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!! (ok, so I'll still be jealous if you get Ann...)

4. Vote_Clark, I have often thought the exact same thing.... |
|
that her loss was the beginning of the end. I was sooooooo sad back then. I had no idea how much worse things would get.

5. Gore, Carter, Richards.... Any Democratic WINNERS |
|
stepping out to endorse Dean? No offense, but two of these three lost to Bush II and Carter lost to dimwit Reagan.
How about a winning sitting governor endorsing Dean?

Um, Gore beat Bush II. He only "lost" by one vote...out of nine.

14. From what I've heard, McGreevey's not liked at all in N.J. |
|
I get this from my granddad who lives there. It could be a blessing or a curse.

12. what's wrong with Carter |
|
I find it interesting that, for all the progress Jimmy Carter has made in pursuit of peace, and for all the progressives who consider him an inspiration, he somehow loses the authority to endorse anyone just because he didn't win every office he ran for.
Whatever.

If the Dean supporters want to have a little endorsement party, why don't you just drop in for a beer and some crackers with cheese, and not rain on their parade? I am NOT (I repeat, NOT) a Dean supporter, by any stretch of the imagination, but that doesn't take away the fact that Ann Richards would be a good endorsement (as is Harkin).
