3. They're pushing for endorsements to keep him propped.
His 34% negatives are the highest of all the candidates with the general public. He CANNOT win the general with negatives that high before the nomination.

At the last debate, from the bits I saw, Carol got all huffy with Edwards and proceeded to lie about his voting record.

Then she ragged on Gep cause he didn't devote his entire Congressional agenda to African American Issues.

And to think she was doing it ALL for Dean.

Well, since the Carter "Endorsement" stunt didn't pan out, guess Trippi decided to go with Carol.

Lost him the election. Come on...

The only reason Dean is said to be "this or that" is because the Publican Think Tanks say so via the Liberal Media. If you espouse what they say what is that worth.

68. Your take on Braun's reputation in Illinois is WAY off.
There was no major scandal. There was a media smear campaign over some very minor stuff ... like she mixed her own funds with her mom's very small amount of funds when she was paying her mom's nursing nome bills. (Gasp! OMG, Carol did what every damn middle aged person who's responsible for a aged parent dones) And she took a couple of trips to Nigeria with her then boyfriend and met the big bad dictator. That's it, folks. No charges. No nothing. Just megabucks repuke Fitzgerald and the Chicago Tribune against her. She didn't lose by very much either. Oh no, Carole is still mega popular back home. And btw, Clinton appointed her as ambassador to New Zealand after that ... and the Congress approved her appointment. She's cleaner than most.

The way to suck up to a white man and get some kind of position promised in return for dropping out and endorsing him?

Not the way I'd want to see female minorities (or females, or minorities) go.

If you have ever seen the treands through history, the first of anything hass never won the presidency. For example, a catholic ran and lost before Kennedy.

CMB went out there and did her best. I believe that a better candidate could do better in the future.

65. Are you kidding?
I've always felt that CMB was woefully unqualified to be running...she's predictable, has a lot of scandals while she was serving in Illinois and took up too much time during the debates.

Last August, I was in Chicago watching the AFL-CIO debate and filming a documentary (still in the works) at a debate party and whenever CMB got on the tube, the crowd would scream and boo at the top of their lungs. I wondered why. I was then educated on a litany of scandals and stories of incompetence that she was responsible for while serving as Senator in Illinois.

She's also a reverse-racist. You Dean folks can have her...

Before too long you're going to have to change parties. With all the nasty things you have to say about everyone who endorses Dean you're not going to have anyone left you will like in the party once Dean wins the nomination.

This is a powerhouse for the Dean campaign. Let them have their moment. It's well deserved.
