Kerry's very liberal endorsement, like Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank |
|
He has the backing of uber-liberal Edward Kennedy, and he has Barney Frank's endorsement too. I mean, look at issues2002.org and Frank is listed as a "Hardcore Liberal". Aren't these two gentlemen some of the most liberal in Congress?

1. I don't think there is any |

question that Sen Kerry is a strong liberal. He's been a champion battling for the left for a long time. If he is one of those 'bad' Washington insiders, then we could use a few dozen more.

And he kind of has them in the bag already.

but them coming from Mass, it'd be surprising if they didn't endorse Kerry.

advocated a position similar to that of Dean on guns in his book (published in 1990 or so). So if Dean isn't a liberal neither is Frank.

7. Perhaps not on guns... |
|
But on vote-smart.org, I noticed that Frank was rated very highly by liberal groups, more so than Kerry, Gephardt, Edwards, etc. This was before I heard of his Kerry endorsement. I figured him to be a Kucinich-type congressman. And voila! He supports Kerry!

9. They respect his service |
|
And his integrity. That's what I usually hear from Republicans who have come to the forum to support Kerry. There are a few. Nothing more, uhm, interesting, than to have to try and respect your Republican supporters on a liberal Kerry forum! We have pro-life people, pro-gun people, vets, all sorts. Do you come around? I don't recall you there.

10. Not going to label Kerry |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-15-04 01:26 AM by isbister
He's liberal, a little left of center... he's not as far left as Kennedy or Frank... or Kucinich when you combine all issues.
When Kerry's former boss Dukakis ran against bush's pop, Dukakis got creamed with the tank thing... I look forward to Kerry facing the son because this time it will be the bush that will be battered over the head about his silly looking outfit.
