Why should a Dem candidate have any tangible plans on anything? |
|
W got away with it in the 2000 campaign.
"Sir, what's your plan for _ _ _?"
"Tax cuts." ("for the wealthy" was implied, but not spoken. The country knew) (also, Gore said "targeted tax cuts", and his plan was ridiculed with quotes like "You have to be a lawyer to figure out if you qualify!")
"Can you be more specific?"
He wasn't.
Now, watch any candidate for the Dem position be grilled about the specifics for anything they do. The "liberal media" will pick them apart for not having a "road map" with every detail worked out.
And when they do have a "road map" for whatever plan, the "liberal media" will take the talking points of the Right and find the tiniest little problem with it and blow it up like Krakatoa.
Bush was never specific about his plans for whatever. "Faith".
So why does our candidate have to be?

2. Because what you stand for shouldn't be a trade secret. |
