Guardian Profile of Kucinich (I thought they were liberal)
Or at least accurate!

link

It was okay until I read this:

"Kucinich's campaign symbol is a light bulb, signifying the municipal power company he single-handedly saved from rapacious banks, and also suggesting ideas and free-thinking. Routinely dismissed as merely "the ninth candidate", his primary strategy is to get airtime and space for his arguments, which increasingly exist only outside the highly corporate mainstream US media.

A proven leader of the counter-culture and the progressive left in the US, has won office three times, he has taken on corporate power and won. If Nader doesn't stand, he may find himself the standard-bearer for the aspirations of an ever-growing number of Americans disillusioned with Washington politics."

? They didn't provide any detail about his vindication wrt MUNY Light, either. Are we supposed to be glad that the fact that he was vindicated is even mentioned?

*sigh*

2. I confess I really don't know a lot about him,
despite the negatives, it seemed like a fairly good appraisal for those not familiar with his stances. It is interesting that so many progressive stances, though, on the environment, health care, etc. are typically dismissed as ridiculous, when most Americans would probably support them if they were pitched in a pragmatic fashion. There is a good article out today in my local paper ( Pittsburgh Post Gazette)www.Post-Gazette.com that talks about the federal Institute of Medicine( a non-partisan group) calling for universal health care by 2010. The number of uninsured ballooned to 43.3 milllion in 2002. That is unacceptable for a supposed developed country.
