to try and threaten Kentuckians... http://www.courier-journal.com/localnews/2004/02/04ky/met-3-sixth02040-3915.htmlWorth noting that Hastert and the GOP blocked the bill in the first place.

Buying votes - again. Too busy to scrub voter rolls this time? Isn't this just buying votes? State AG should look into it.
Sad that some in attendance reacted so well to the coercion. I got mine, the rest of you be damned.

2. Truly weird pro Dean post |
|
To: LexingtonGOP We've got our own problem here in SD with Janklow's seat. If Thune doesn't knock off Daschle, incredibly, we could have an all RAT-delegation in SOUTH DAKOTA!!!!! What the hell is going on? God, I hope Dean is the nominee...
One thing I do know, a friend of mine at the NRCC says he heards from his boss that they may bail from the KY special election. Polling says it's getting worse, not better for Forgy (or whatever her name is). Says they think their money is going down the drain.
Sucks. Go Dean. *********************
Truly weird, I say!

This freeper poster apparently thinks Dean will be a pushover vs. Bush. "Course, this is from a freeper, who has no clue that not only ANY of the Democrats will beat Bush, but Janet Jackson could beat him at this point!!!!!

Looks like Bush is following in Nixon's footsteps caring only about himself. Nixon had the Committee to re-elect the President. He lost congressional seats just to get himself back in. Bush has so much money to spend that a few hundred thousand to help keep this one seat for his party should be assumed. But he is only looking out for himself. That could come back to bite him if there are articles of impeachment if he should happen to survive to a second term.

If Fletcher wins: GOP will pooh-pooh ... "liberal media" ... "Chandler's really more a Republican than a Dem!" ... "Kerr was a weak candidate ... "
but look at history -- in '73-'74, the special elections all went to Democrats; it all foreshadowed the '74 Dem landslide, proving that GOP support had been a mile wide and an inch deep.
