GE Talking Point: Accountability |
|
Time and again President Bush has avoided taking responsibility for the actions of his administration. This flies in the face of his promise to usher in the "accountability era". I'm sure all of you could add something to the following list: the Wilson-Plame affair, the WMD intelligence failure, the September 11 terrorist attacks.
I don't believe he has ever taken responsibility for a questionable act that either he or one of his supporters has perpetrated on the American people. This is such a simple concept that it must be one of the Democratic talking points of the General Election. I don't believe I've heard any talk of this on DU. (It would make for great arguments during televised debates.) Let me know if I'm wrong! (I haven't been paying much attention to television, so I'm not sure if the Dem candidates have been hitting this one home.)

Here's what you tell bush, "Look, either you knew there weren't any WMD and lied to us, or you were wrong in thinking that there were any, and therefor incompetent. In either case you aren't fit to be the president of the united states." After that the speaker tells GWB in so many words or less to get the F outta here.
