McAuliffe shouldn't rush to coronate Kerry

I am very concerned about the rush to coronate Kerry, and the bias McAuliffe is showing in his favor. Kerry has had very little media scrutiny, and many of the people who vote for him because they were told he is most "electable" have no idea what is coming from the RNC if Kerry gets the nomination.

I also find it unbelievable that so many Democrats are pushing for candidates to drop out quickly, thus denying most of us the opportunity to cast a meaningful vote in the primary. I remember Bill Clinton saying at a speech in Iowa in the summer, that in the primaries we should fall in love, but in the general election we should "fall in line". Now we are expected to "fall in line" before the majority of states have even had their primaries.

Remember those signs saying "If every vote counts, then count every vote"? Don't disenfranchise your own party by making our *primaries* irrelevant.

Kerry worked hard to turn his campaign around. I saw him speak her in MI and it was a very good speech and the crowd was enthusiastic. I was one that was very critical of his campaign and was one of many that declared it "all but dead". and I also commented that I was perplexed as to why he wasn't catching on.

I doubt this was the media's doing but he definately figured out how to leverage the Dean/Gephardt battle into a big win in Iowa and leveraged that into NH and so on.

I think it helps Kerry actually. But wasn't it Dean who whined that Mc Auliffe wasn't protecting him from the sniping from those upstarts, Kerry, Clark and Edwards ? And this was before he earned even one delegate from a primary/caucus. LOL Of course Kerry is not complaining about the fire power because he knows it goes with the territory.
