Just wanted to share a great line from him. He got on the South the other night. He said if those of us not from the South can vote for Carters and Clintons, et al, then they have to at least consider voting for someone not from the South. As Maher put it: "You can't decide not to vote for someone just because they don't pronounce all four e's in the word shit". Beautiful!!

last week - wonder what 2night will B? The line about the woman suing CBS & Jackson because she was shocked - 'so shocked she fell back in her La-Z-Boy and turned her trailer over' had me laughing out loud

2. I love Maher

I love the fact that he is so willing to insult people. And putting out what they are doing wrong. He uses his common sense. I read his book "Ride Alone & your Riding with Bin Laden"

I wish that book would of caught on more.

I enjoy his show. It's too bad that only people who can afford cable can see some intelligent & funny political discussion.

6. Some of us

live in the South just because there IS so much work to be done. And after 20 years of working for social justice in Texas I can drawl like the best of 'em. Like we say down here, it sure does get my dander up when some yankee thinks I'm a dumb ass because of my twang. You can bet any progressive from south of the Mason/ Dixon line knows their business too.
