Today CNN's Schneider posits that Repugs voted for Edwards to get at Kerry
http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0402/19/ip.01.html

SCHNEIDER: Meanwhile, Republicans are spoiling for a fight between Edwards and Kerry. They want to see Kerry get bloodied up. You know, maybe that's why we found in our exit poll that Republicans who voted in Wisconsin's Democratic primary on Tuesday went strongly for Edwards -- Judy.

WOODRUFF: Wasn't that interesting? We did notice that. All right. Bill Schneider, thank you very much.

4. I hate to break it to those Repukes
but Edwards has run a positive campaign from Day 1, and he won't change now, because it's worked for him. He will not "bloody" Kerry or vice versa. In fact, having TWO top-flight candidates is a win-win for us.

8. I agree. And more evidence for my rule:
That neither party should interefere in the other party's internal processes.

You screw yourself 9 times out of 10.

All those Edwards-voting Wisconsin GOPers did was give the Democrats AT LEAST two more solid weeks of a suspenseful story for the media to cover, two more solid weeks of Democrats bashing Bush in high-profile states ESPECIALLY OHIO, and DELAY for two weeks the ability of Bush/RNC to set their Spring ad strategy, possibly even making them waste money and resources on never-to-be-shown ads focused on whoever winds up not winning the nomination.

If Bush loses OH in a close race this Fall, all this free media for the Dems in the Spring will have been a contributing factor.

I giggle whenever I think about it.

9. Edwards & Dean together received 62% of the "enthusiastic for Bush" vote.
This is strategic voting--which is what the poll questions are designed to ferret out. Bingo!
