Candidates favor reducing government waste

HELENA - All six of Montana's major political party candidates for governor support cutting state government waste.

They were responding to a question from Axel Sorensen of Missoula, who asked: "As governor, what, if anything, do you intend to do to reduce the waste and size of state government and reduce taxes for individuals and businesses?"

The Gazette State Bureau forwarded the question to the Republican and Democratic candidates for governor. They are seeking their respective party's nomination in the June 8 primary election. Here are their responses:

2. Maybe somebody should tell Bush Buddies, Marc Raciot & Dick Cheney

After all, Raciot is Bush's campaign manager, and Cheney is the President, so maybe they could tell the Right Wingers in Congress to stop spending money like drunken sailors.
