Sec. of Defense Colin Powell to Resign , Rice or Wolfowitz to replace him!
Washington Post
By Glenn Kessler
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, August 4, 2003; Page A01 Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and his deputy, Richard L. Armitage, have signaled to the White House that they intend to step down even if President Bush is reelected, setting the stage for a substantial reshaping of the administration's national security team that has remained unchanged through the September 2001 terrorist attacks, two wars and numerous other crises.Armitage recently told national security adviser Condoleezza Rice that he and Powell will leave on Jan. 21, 2005, the day after the next presidential inauguration, sources familiar with the conversation said. Powell has indicated to associates that a commitment made to his wife, rather than any dismay at the administration's foreign policy, is a key factor in his desire to limit his tenure to one presidential term. Rice and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul D. Wolfowitz are the leading candidates to replace Powell, according to sources inside and outside the administration. . .

Man, things may get even worse if we don't remove Bush this time.

5. Oh baloney.
Powell is part and parcel of this administration.

Read up on Powell a little bit, and behind that urbane exterior you will find the up and coming army officer who papered over My Lai, among many other things.

Look at his son.

Does the apple ever fall far from the tree? I think not.

Wake up.

8. NO NEED- Bush loses in 2004-Powell's out of a job anyway!
how ridiculous to try that psychology crap on the public !
Making plans "as if'-

Bush has no chance to win anyway - they subliminally suggesting he is likely "to win"
So they are planing to resign--later bro !! they are fired come 2005-
(He didn't even win before)

15. Newt Gingrich?
Oy vey. That man's personality alone should be enough to disqualify him for the job.

17. Hehe
I'll admit, I am not an expert on the man's politics, but he just strikes me as such a scumbag. He, for instance, divorced his wife after she had a brain tumor removed. I believe he was also a deadbeat dad.

The last memory I have of him is when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes," where Sean Hannity asked him the last question of the segment, one about one of the Clintons--Hillary, I believe--and he completely ducked it. He either brought up something completely irrelevant or personally attacked him/her. And this, of course, represents the hard questions and fair and balanced coverage of Fox.

18. well neither do I mostly
Well Newt was fucking his mistress now wife number 3 I think, before Bill knew Monica, during Bill and Monica's ordeal, during the proceedings trying to impeach Bill, and of course after, and now they tied the knot. How cute, are we gonna find out that Newt is marrying again. He also like Tom Delay doesnt see his mother and I think he loathes his lesbian sister.

19. I don't think Powell will ever recover from this misadministration.
Even if he did provide some balance, he also gave in way too many times.
