As far as programs and policy prescriptions go--$$$ |
|
Who really believes that the next president is going to be able to deliver on anything substantive but good vibes? Isn't he or she going to be stuck for the next 4 years at a minimum dealing with all the crap that has gone on in this administration? We are entering a recession and I can see the effects of the downturn on neighbors. It's BAD. We're basically a broke country in debt up to our eyeballs and in hock to foreign countries, We'll have to continue spending billions in Iraq until *whenever*--the military can manage to drag out any timetable.
Other than experiencing the relief of ridding ourselves of Bush and minions with their attacks on the Constitution-- and hopefully regaining what we've lost in goodwill abroad-- how does anyone think there's going to be *any* government money available to spend--especially on the O. vs H. programs being argued about??

I think the reality is we will have to wait for a lot of the programs we hope for to be feasible. I'm hoping we'll elect someone who is a step in the right direction. That's what we're left with. I chose Obama. You should decide who you think will start digging us out of this hole. It's clear to me that the Repubs don't get it. I hope most Americans are onto them.
