AWD campaign fundraiser is ON!

The time has come, so I am unveiling my webpage for all to see!

www.jeffseemannforcongress.com is the address. DEMActivist is still tweaking it, so be reminded that this is a demo page until all the text is entered (by me), and the pictures are added. But here's your early look-see!

I now begin a 32-hour fundraiser (one hour for each year my opponent has held office). PLEASE donate what you can to help us get a DUer to Congress. If you can pitch in 5 bucks, that's great. If you can throw more our way, excellent. Your money will go towards electing a candidate that vows never to let the destructive right-wing government take over America again.

We have set two goals for this fundraiser....2,000 dollars, or 100 separate donors. Let's reach both goals!

2. Where do we send typo reports?

It isn't very good if prospective voters see typos on your campaign website.

It covers all of Stark County (Canton), reaches to the west into Ashland, north into Summit. It's changed since the last election, but Stark is the main area.

11. Some more comments on the website...

I know it is a work in progress, but all of the word icons (I don't know what the webpage jargon is for them) but "Meet Jeff" and "Donate" don't seem to work.

As an ex-Ohioan, what cities/counties, or towns are in your district?

Is Stark County, Canton.

It stretches out west towards Ashland and up a bit north into Summit County, but 68% of the district is Stark County.

14. You should change "donate" to "contribute"

People "donate" to charities...but they "contribute" to campaigns. It just sounds better. Canton Ohio is a huge area for big businesses. I wish I had something to contribute right now, but I don't. Instead, I'm going to spread your site around and see if I can't muster up some support for you online.

The suggestion isn't meant to offend...I just wanted to point out that contribute sounds more professional and appropriate for a political campaign :)

...and my webmaster. Both had legit arguments to keep it at "Donate"

Me, I'm very easy-going about such things. I would end up changing it back and forth every day.

I've already sent it to Ohio for Dean and commented on the Dean blog. I didn't ask for money directly, though, just hinted ever so slightly...I only told people if they are from Ohio or know anyone from Ohio to spread the word and show some support for a fellow Deanie. :) I figured it might not be kosher for you to post it there...but it's okay for me to do it since I'm not you or affiliated with your campaign. Hope that webmaster works quick! lol

A couple of people donated that amount before the fundraiser, but this is the highest amount in this drive!
