and seeming anger with the fact that Clinton did not pass campaign finance reform when he had a chance? Instead Clinton focused on his ill conceived health care plan.
I found that most instructive and totally agree with Kerry on this. A President Kerry will fight for public financing of campaigns.
Politicians tend to "dance with the ones that brung 'em" as Molly Ivins would say. We want our government to do what is in the best interests of the country and its citizens and taxpayers--rather than kowtow to big corporations.
Kerry has fought for public financing his entire career. Another reason why he is the best man for the job of retiring Bushco to Crawford in November!

That was one of the most effective parts of the interview which overall was very strong. I trust Kerry with his politics. I think he holds beliefs very strongly and it is clear that there is too much money in the system. Money is too powerful in our politics as Bush has shown us and I want a president who will stand up for campaign finance reform and not seek to tear it down.
