Interesting Charles Cook quote about Kerry.
Speaking of the recent polls showing Dean's wide lead.

"While Kerry's candidacy has certainly not taken off, he has yet to make any serious mistakes," says Charles Cook, editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. "I think that this is more a factor of Dean's candidacy exploding ... than Kerry's underperforming. It is still a very well funded, technically proficient campaign with a candidate who is not bad at all."

1. Prairie Fires! Beware of the ILLUSION of Prairie Fires!
Dean looks like HART during the New Hampshire-Super Tuesday "run" in 1984.

Shoot! At least there were actual VOTES to be tabulated during that period:think:

except that little problem of demonstrating leadership ability and judgement while going to bat for Bush in the Senate. Now, had he shown the true courage of Byrd, with a grasp of political realities, watchdogging the best interests of the Country---as he was elected to do, he wouldn't be viewed with as much apprehension.

3. "My Candidate Sucks So Bad That I Have To Attack Yours"
All hail CoffeePlease1947! He has come up with the perfect formula for dispelling all these negative campaign threads! All you Dean-bashers, Kerry-bashers, any-Democrat-bashers, please repeat after me: “MY CANDIDATE SUCKS SO BAD THAT I HAVE TO ATTACK YOURS.”

If I were a Bush supporter, I would be ROFLMAO to see all these Democrats ripping each other to pieces. My candidate in the general election is Anybody But Bush. As for the primaries, I haven’t decided yet. Amazing, ain’t it? Considering that the primaries are only six months away.

Come on, ladies and gentlemen! Unity, please! Eyes on the prize! BUCK FUSH!

4. yo
This is politics. If your candidate can't take the heat than they are not qualified to be in the kitchen. Part of the problem with recent accomodating for the sake of "unity" is that candidates who knew better backed Bush and his ill-advised disasterous war adventure based on obvious lies. Criticism is essential for a healthy democracy.
