Capital Times out of Wisconsin opines that Carol has become a real contender.

snippet: "Moseley Braun has always been a full-agenda candidate - she's an articulate critic of the invasion of Iraq and of the twisting of U.S. foreign policy by the Bush administration, she's a consistent critic of the Patriot Act, and she's a passionate advocate for expanding health care and pension protections."

Of course they mention her recent endorsements from womens' groups and conclude that while she remains a longshot to win the nomination, she's definitely in the race, and "if these endorsements allow her to elbow her way into the Democratic Men's Club, both her party and her country will be the better for it."

But that (along with the feminist endorsements) alone isn't enough to make her a "contender," as the Capital Times contends.

Of course she'd be great. But she just isn't in a good position at all for the presidential nomination.

But her qualities are sure to make he a top contender for the veep slot, whoever wins the nomination.

It'd be just as easy for us to elect Carol as it would be to elect anyone else. And with her recent endorsements, she's a major contender. Anyone who tries to dismiss her now is either being egregiously self-serving or wants their head read.

You can consider Braun to be a consider, but that doesn't make it so.

Ringo was my favorite Beatle, and though I flirted with John becuase he was intellectually adventurous, and George because he was metrically and melodically gifted, being a favorite Beatle is also about having a sense of humor and projecting a quintessential Beatleness. Ringo had that in the bag. Still does.

I think I would be happy to see her team up with Kucinich. But her message isn't getting out enough. Good luck- It IS time for that elbowing to take place!
