How many people were at Kerry's announcement speech today?

None of the news articles I have read have said anything about the size of the crowd. Does anyone have any idea? I am dying to know!

1. it was a ticketed event because of the military
because of the military involved, it was a ticketed event. you can probably just call the place it was held and ask. or call the south carolina base for kerry's campaign.

4. I was there - I would say @ 3-4 hundred ...my SWAG ... :)
Kerry did a great job - he sounded strong and pumped. He did a great job addressing his war vote. Max Cleland did an outstanding job introducing him. I didn't realize that Cleland was such a good speaker. There were a LOT of military folks there. I hear that Kerry has a large military support group here in SC. I love it.

The back drop of the Yorktown there in Mt. Pleasant was a beautiful and a very fitting place for Kerry to kickoff his campaign.

The only negative was that it was hotter than hells hinges in Charleston ... A typical day in South Carolina this time of year ...

5. My guesstimate:
450. Minus the people that were shipped in. So about 400.
