5. could it something magical
It cheers me up to think that people would be following their hearts. Go DK, the world is lucky to have you. I just wish people would listen to him, hes the candiate that will have legislation and the like that the people will remember. He's unique he stands out with his humble roots, ideals, and his respect of the world not saying the others dont respect the world but he stands out.

Join us King :) its fun. I originally leaned to Dean myself but I am a proud Kucinitzen. If people who leaned Dean looked at Kucinich I think many would switch, no offense to you all I respect your decision but DK has something special.

What Will You Do?
by Michael W. Stowell
August 18, 2003

Now what will you do, America, all of you who consider yourselves Americans? Now that billions of people, all around the world, are subjugated, suffering, and dying to feed your pleasures and the pleasures of those who run your government, now that your government has pushed the human race to the point of self-emulation, just what do you intend to do about it?

<snip>

What will you do, Americans, will you elect Dennis Kucinich? Will you demand that his voice be heard, will you take your voices out into the streets and shout loud and clear, for all to hear, will you exercise your right of free speech? Now, America and Americans, will you put partisanship out of your minds and unite for the common good? Will you change the course of history?

<snip>

What will you Americans do about the destitution that you left behind in that country your government disappeared, Yugoslavia? Can you afford all the reparations? How about some bread? Some bakeries? Some medicine? Some books?

Now what will you do, America, now that you've opened your borders and lifted the sanctions on Cuba? Will you invite the Cuban people to a celebration? Will you throw a great party in Washington D. C. and invite the whole country of Cuba, and provide safe passage?

<snip>

Will you open your prison doors and release your political prisoners? Will you end the barbarity of capital punishment? Will you tear down your prison/industrial complex and start building some schools? Will you support an international court that has the authority to prosecute your leaders and military if they commit crimes?

When?

You can do this America, but only you can do this. I would love to see people from around the world sending money to help you elect Dennis Kucinich, and I am sure they would if they could. However, if you do not have significant money to give, or even if you do, money is a small part of it when everyone takes the time to do what is necessary.

What will you do, America?

19. lol- It's also what did WE do
I've been watching several independent polls my friend and in them Kucinich was always #1 or #2. I did not post them at DU because these were low-key, think tank polls (I think I e-mailed you about one of them).

Kucinich is solid and his message resonates with most of us. The man IS electable and we will MAKE it happen!

The Time is Now, right?

Everyone... Watch this fantastic video! Dennis Kucinich: The Time is Now

And a HUGE THANK YOU to all the Greens and Independents who have been walking the streets with us! We love you for coming home and together we WILL see the day that President Kucinich is sworn in!

Peace and love you all!

22. I don't recall a poll from you.
But this is just...well makes me feel a LOT better about things. I think the additions to the campaign, Pass It On, all of us working so hard to spread the word have really started to get him out there. It feels like one of those "FINALLY!" exhale moments. *LOL*

I watched the Labor Day speech three times on C-span.*LOL*

What makes me nutty is having all these brainstorm ideas and not knowing for sure who to pass them on to. I posted one to the volunteer board, to someone else's flag idea, but most of them aren't terribly fleshed out yet, and the one that was....well, that went up through some State Coordinators because it was delicious!

I've gotten two family members committed to Kucinich (the rest are just too dim themselves to see the horror that is Bush, UGH!), and I'm overseeing a TON of online activity anymore.

I don't think about what we put into it, you know? It just seems like the only rational, logical thing to do.

It's a real pcik-me up!

To my mind, this is the moment and DK is right, the time is now.

If Progressives and Liberals don't seize this moment, when the American people are SO SICK of the Republicans, to put the right man in office then we will have failed miserably.

Everything is on our side!

Peace

He appeals to one's heart and frankly who cares about the polls to paraphrase Robert Frost, two roads diverged in one and I took the road less taken by and that has made all the difference.

14. John, I can't find the thread
you started about Imagine no Kucinich (I think it was). A poster there asked about Dennis being a union member and I said I would check on it and get back with you guys.

He is still a member of the Camera Operators Union. There's your answer. It was with pride we could march in the parade yesterday and ask the union membership in attendance to support a union man for president!

G'night!
Peace~

Sorry it took me so long and I can't remember the thread it was asked in. :(

26. wow...this is so exciting...
not surprising tho....this is one special man!!!

and to listen to him speak...very intelligent & coherent!

His vision of peace and what can be, lifts me up & gives me hope for this country....a leader has to be more than some macho jerk who puts on a flight suit for photo ops on the decks of ships....

Dennis has a true caring and love of humanity that shines through when you speak to him or even when I see him on TV. We are blessed to have him.....

and all you guys on these threads...I really feel we should pat ourselves on the back for sharing our enthusiasm with each other and here on DU- goddess knows we can all use it these days!

Things are taking off for DK!!!
Hurray!!!!:bounce:

Peace & :loveya:

28. I must say I'm surprised...
because so MANY of DK's supporters don't have computers...

he gets SO MUCH of his support from the ordinary people who can't afford computers or on-line access and can only contribute little bitty amounts of money...

and they send in their contributions by mail...

but we ARE out there!!
