Howard Dean in Santa Fe!
Once again, I had extreme pleasure of meeting and speaking with Gov. Howard Dean. Gov. Dean was in Santa Fe to attend a fundraiser, attended by about 200 people.

The high point of the night though, was the Santa Fe meetup. As some of you know, the Dean Meetup rolled through 100,000 members a couple of days ago. The Dean campaign contacted the 100,000th member, (a wonderful woman from Denver named Kathy who had never attended a meetup before), and flew her to Santa Fe as a guest of Gov. Dean. After the fundraiser, the Governor, with Kathy and a gaggle of media in tow, walked the 4 blocks to the meetup. There he was greeted by over 300 supporters. The venue had filled, and the overflow crowd was out onto the sidewalk. Speakers had been placed outside so all could hear the Gov. speak, which he did for 30 minutes or so, then took questions for another 20 minutes or so. After the Q and A, he worked the crowd, shaking hands and chatting with supporters.

There was lots of media presence...Fox News, the local network affiliates, the BBC, and about a dozen print reporters from newspapers around the country.

It was a fantastic evening. I'm exhausted, but convinced more than ever that this is the man I want to be our next President. His presence is incredible, and the crowd absolutely loved him.

(It was also nice to finally meet Joe Trippi.)

I predict that Dean is going to kick some ass tomorrow night at the debate...

Oh yeah...I told him everybody at DU thought he was great! :-)

1. Thanks for the report!
Looking forward to seeing the Gov. in person at some point, I'm sure I will.

That's funny, that you told him that "everybody at DU" thinks he's great. Close enough, I guess. :)
