5 of 7 D.C. councilmembers to endorse Dean tomorrow
Sorry that I can't provide a link, as this was stated on the local Fox 5 evening news in Maryland tonight. It is getting play over on blogforamerica. the Fox report covered his university of maryland rall (they said 3,700 were there), said that he has received endorsements from 35 Maryland elected officials, and mentioned the D.C. councilmember endorsement.

1. That is amazing!
DC councilmember endorsements should open his base beyond basically white support!

I will be looking forward to tomorrow's announcement!

:kick:

2. Not true
I don't think that is exactly true. I am from maryland, and that has not been confirmed. Many are waiting until after the debate to decide who to endorse. I think many are leaning towards Kerry or Dean.

3. if that's true...
then I apologize for posting the information. I'm just repeating what was reported. Perhaps the other two are going for Kerry? Several of the councilmembers WERE at the university of maryland rally, though, if that means anything.

WASHINGTON -- Vermont Governor Howard Dean's presidential campaign is expected to pick up endorsements Tuesday from the majority of the Democrats on the D.C. Council.

Jack Evans, Adrian Fenty and Jim Graham are definitely on-board. Evans expects Sharon Ambrose, and Kathy Patterson to join them Tuesday morning at the Phoenix Park Hotel to make their formal endorsement.

6. That's great. At this rally...
Dean apparently had a moment of silence for "the Republican Party in 2004."

Too funny.
