I hope this is an appropriate place for this question. I thought you P&C folks might have better input than the average GD reader. ;)
Here's my question: Money is pretty tight, but I have budgeted a small amount of money to donate to the Democratic presidential campaign between now and next Nov. What would be the most effective way to use this money?
I am supporting Dean right now, but am also intrigued by Clark, and I want Kucinich to stay in this thing for as long as he can make it. That said, I am firmly ABB come Election Day 2004. I am having a hard time deciding if I should go ahead and kick each of them a little bit of cash before the quarter ends, or if I should save it and wait to see if a clear front-runner emerges, or if I should just wait until the nominee is decided and send it all in one lump.
Because it's a fairly small amount of money, I want to make it count as much as possible. What's your strategy? I am definitely a beginner at this, so I really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

All heavenly bodies will line up behind the successful nominee after the convention. Pick your Pony now and bet on him/her.

2. Is there one person you really like more then the others? |
|
If there is one person that makes you say, "Yes, that is my president" then give it to her or him.
However, if you are undecided, and it sounds like you might be, hold off a little while. Remember, it is still 11 months till the convention, so you have some time to decide.
Just my thoughts.

Hey!
"Only the BEST wine and hookers." Helluva campaign slogan! If you add "for everyone" it's all over!

4. I know you are asking specifically about the presidential campaign |
|
so perhaps my advice is off, but in my opinion, if you want to make your money count the most, I would say contribute to your local Democratic organization, close to the election, especially if you can specifically have the money earmarked for Get Out the Vote efforts.

to Kerry and Kucinich, so I can understand why you want to give to more than one guy. I agree with you that Kucinich's voice needs to be available, and I believe it should not be discounted.
