They just basically blew off John Edwards by saying that it was good that he announced now, because he is 'trailing the other eight candidates in the race badly in the polls'. That is a frigging lie!!
god I hate the media sometimes.

3. CNNI is the only station I receive on my cable overseas |
|
As a result, I only watch my DVDs.
And people say CNNI is heads above CNN.
I feel for you.

Last night after spewing venom for five minutes or so about the CA recall being stalled by a liberal (I think they're told to always say that word with a "sucking lemons" expression) court, they proceeded on to a full ten minutes of Hillary bashing, complete with the full tape of her right-wing conspiracy statement, etc. I don't know who the hell their viewers are, but if that is what they want they must be among the most ignorant fools on earth, and I am usually careful not to call my fellow Americans stupid, even when I think they are.

7. We knew it would happen |

Bush's numbers are down. They will have to work extra, extra hard to pump up his numbers and downplay anyone who dares run against him. I think closer to the election, they will get worse - remember what they did to Gore. Just hope the masses won't get fooled twice.

6. Weird how conservatives think that CNN is liberal, |
|
and liberals think it is conservative. It seems terribly conservative to me, and I think that I am being objective. But conservatives tell me they won't watch it because it leans so far left. Weird. I think the problem for liberals is that we don't have anywhere to turn and need to watch CNN once in a while. Why don't some wealthy liberals buy/start a network?

8. It's typical of how they have been treating certain candidates all year. |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 03:26 PM by blm
The anchors always go negative on them without covering any of the issues. Plus, once the candidate DOES get airtime, all the whores want to talk about is Howard Dean. They pump Dean up for most of the year, then they pound ALL the other candidates with what they think about Dean getting all the attention. Sheesh.

9. Because Of Dean's Novelty, Not His Positions |
|
Dean had the internet grassroots thing going, and the easiest position to soundbite. I have yet to see the networks talk about policy. And I've been waiting since 2000.

12. They talk up the candidates attacking Bush because they know |
|
that energizes Bush defenders, and because it plays into Bush's "I'd be better if people weren't attacking me all the time" strategy of passing the buck.

14. They talked up the candidate that attacked the other Dems. |
|
Then they sold him as the ONLY one attacking Bush for months. Now, their story is that they are all piling on poor Dean AND bashing Bush.

11. That's the latest spin on him (now that they can't spin the senate race) |
|
This is my prediction: soon he'll lead in the polls, and the conventional wisdom will be like the boy who cried wolf. It will be so consistently wrong that if they ever get anything even remotely right, their track record of misjudging Edwards will subsume the criticism.
