Dean rips Bush on foreign policy, tax cuts
Howard Dean said Bush administration foreign policy is based on "petulance" and confrontation and has cost America and its citizens respect around the world. Dean said Bush, "won't do anything about" the nuclear threat from North Korea "because he doesn't believe in bilateral negotiations with a person he--quote, unquote--loathes. I don't like Kim Jong, either. But I think we should probablysculpt our foreign policy on some other set of issues than the petulance fo the chief executive of the USA."

He said Bush does not realize that "defense is more than just a strong military. It's also having high ideas and high moral purpose to which the rest of the world aspires."

Later he ripped Bush on his tax cut, giving $3 trillion to "Ken Lay and the boys at Enron" while shortchanging special education, roads and bridges, and even domestic anti terorism programs.

1. Good for Dean.
If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. To Chimp, he can only think of military solutions to problems... all he has is a hammer, so he can't see other ways to resolve issues.
