Biden likely to support Clark or Kerry

Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware says he's leaning this year towards supporting his Senate colleague John Kerry or the newcomer, retired Gen. Wesley Clark. Said Biden, "The two people I'm most inclined to supprt are Kerry or Clark".

* Sen. John Edwards asked on Face the Nation if Clark was the man to beat replied, "Anybody can be beaten." He dismissed a national poll released over the weekend showing the newcomer, Clark, among the leaders in the 10-candidate Democratic presidential campaign.

"Gen. Clark's not very well known across America, but he had a couple of days of being on television," Edwards said Sunday. Edwards said he "intends" to win South Carolina and be competitive in NH and Iowa.

* Clark raises $750,000 in the first thre days of his campaign, officials said sunday. Advisors said the money doesn't include the $1.9 million that supporters pledged before he entered the race.

The swing voters who can give the election to the Democrats would rather vote for an Idiot (Bush) who's perceived to be strong on Defense rather than a good man (Dean) who's perceived to be weak on Defense, ergo Kerry or my preference Clark to win the next next election.

He won, but got the election taken away from a partisian SC.

However, if Dean does get the nomination, he *KNOWS* that he needs a VP that is well-versed on defense, and that's where Clark comes in (and it's quite better for him this way because of his lack of political experience).

A vast majority of people in this country have not been in the military. Just because you nominate a war hero is not going to guarantee the election. The bottom line in any election even in 2004 will come down to domestic issues: healthcare, jobs, education.

12. I hope you're not referring to Biden as a DLCer

because he has never been a member of that organization. That's our other senator in Delaware, Tom Carper.

I see Biden supporting Kerry and in fact when Biden was considering a run this year I saw Kerry as the one being hurt most by Biden in the race. Outside of the DLC (Kerry belongs, Biden doesn't), these 2 are pretty much identical when it comes to voting record and committee assignments.
