Poll question: How does the U.S. government operate best?
What do you see as the best situation (either historically or philisophically or both)

1. If the Democrats controlled the White House...
but had to work with Greens and moderate Republicans in the House and Senate to pass legislation, then neo-cons and DINOs would become irrelevant in our political system.

3. What a great question
And I have to wait to see what other people say to figure out what I think. My initial reaction was 'Dem Congress, Rebup Pres'...but I then I started thinking about Pres getting to nominate judges and I thought, "No, its Dem Pres, and Repub congress that works better."

7. Can you believe people voted for a Republican Congress?
One person voted for a Republican President. Do we have some Republicans amongst us?

8. Look at the Clinton era...
Several years of economic prosperity with a Democrat leading the way and a Republican congress following. Granted I'm extremely pissed off that healthcare and social security reform never got passed but other than that it worked out pretty well.

10. Especially For Welfare Mothers
In corporate boardrooms. The Telecommunications act of '96 was a peach, too.
