Dean gets an assist from SEIU 1199
Tuesday night, Local 1199 union boss Dennis Rivera hosted a Dean fundraiser that raked in at least $30,000. Although Rivera didn't formally endorse Dean, Dean's the only candidate Rivera's raised funds for.

"We have been incredibly impressed with him (Dean) and particularly his campaign," union boss Dennis Rivera told a crowd of about 100 union members gathered at the headquarters of Local 1199, Service Employees International Union. "One of the things that Governor Dean is doing is basically campaigning dramatically hard to try and bring more people into the equation and almost changing the way that American politics (is done)."

1. There are two influential unions I think Dean will get
endorsements from in the end: SIEU and the UAW.

4. Has the $30,000 been added to the "bat" yet?
If not, hope it's added soon.

7. no.
right now, they are only listing online donations... in the final days of the bat, they will add in all the offline donations. also, house party donations on the 29th will be counted, as the house party hosts will be sending all the checks they receive to Burlington via overnight mail on the 30th (for it to count, they have to be postmarked on the 30th, not received by the 30th). also, there is an online form that hosts will fill out and submit to the campaing so that they will have an accurate count of what is coming in the following day.

he'll get 5 million. yes, he will.
