Anyone watching the scripted debate?
I wonder who can afford the best script-writers? I understand that once Reagan tried to write one of his own speeches and was told that, if he gave it, he would be laughed out of politics.

Arriana will take care of him!

39. GOP spin on Huffington
Watch out for this one:
"She's a Democratic ringer, existing solely to attack Schwarzeneggar so Bustamante can look gubernatorial." More lies, sigh...

This election will be decided on turn-out only. Issues no longer matter.

2. Scripted debate is an oxymoron
Designed to help the moron who is running (guess who).

Nothing new though. jeb was fed the questions in advance during the last election, or so I heard.

Bush will have a new wrinkle in '04. Not only will he have the questions in advance, but they will let him use a teleprompter to read the answer. He will still screw it up, though.

at talking over people. The moderator is trying to keep him on topic, but it appears he has speeches he wants to make and nobody's going to stop him.

He is also attempting to talk over everyone else, even after the ref tells him to shut up.

15. He's being an entertainer.
Delivering memorized lines. Which, for those of you at home, Arianna just called him on. He made some crack about his Humvee and Arianna told him they had advance notice from the NYTimes that he would say that.

12. He didn't know the difference between three strikes and the lemon law.
And people are thinking of voting for this idiot. Personally, I'm glad Peter Camejo is there. He's making some great points and he's really helping our side and setting a good direction for our government to follow. Arriana is also awesome. While they may be helping themselves, they are also nailing the Republicans. I'm glad Cruz is not up there alone against those vultures.

Bustamante sounded like shit when talking about the workers comp and so did Huffington. shrubby little, or tom..was at least honest about how corrupt he was. And then of course there was Arnold. Stupid, but got a few good one-liners out against Huffington.

I can't help but wonder if the recall succeeds, will Huffington be the Governor? It seems like all the men would split up the male vote in California. But then again, most California women are intelligent enough not to support Huffington.

Hopefully the recall will go down, because the only candidate running that did not pander to corporate wishes was Peter Camejo...

38. Moderator sorta fair, Tweety is NUTZ!!
The moderator seemed friendly to Schwarzeneggar, but not unfair to the others. The Hardball with Christopher Matthews on MSNBC after the debate was vomitrocious. Sixty minutes of Matthews providing both "pump" and "come" on Arnold's performance.

All the coverage on frontrunner Bustamante consisted solely of the one observation that he never defended Gray Davis. Hardly a word about McClintock or Carmejo. This is a joke news show and an abuse of the public airwaves.

In the debate I thought McClintock and Bustamonte did the best. They were the only ones who seemed to really understand the issues being discussed. I disagree with most of what McClintock said, but he at least seems like a serious candidate.

All Herr Pumpercomer could repeat is bland platitudes, like "we should bring moah business to Cally-forn-yuh. If business comes back, we will haff more tax revenues." Well DUH! as yall Cally-forn-yons like to say...
