"Dean Dominates Fundraising Rush"
Howard Dean will crush his rivals in third quarter fundraising, the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire reports.

"Democrats' presidential front-runner could bag $15 million through Tuesday, handily beating candidate Clinton's one-quarter record. Insiders look for Kerry to have about $6 million, Lieberman and Gephardt perhaps $4 million each."

"Clark's camp says Internet givers and New York events could put the newcomer near $2 million. Graham says he isn't broke and his report will be 'solid'; he plans a Jimmy Buffet benefit concert in November. Democrats figure talk of $2.5 million for Edwards is lowballing."

The Washington Post says "no one doubts" Dean's "ability to raise money anymore. But it sometimes seems as if the former Vermont governor still does not quite grasp a basic rule of campaign fundraising: lower expectations."

The Doctor Is In!

1. Congrats to the Dean people!
It helps to have the money to run a first class campaign-especially when you have a strong message. I'm proud for you!

3. Thank you
its good to have some support from supporters of other candidates. When other candidates to well in debates, my feeling is, good for them! Not, as some people say Deanies always do, bash people out of defense for Dean.

8. I agree...
While I personally support Clark, I'll vote for any of the candidates I saw on stage last night. This is an exceptional bunch, by and large.

4. Lower Expectations?
I thought they already did. From $40 million to $5. :)

No, I want Dean to, well, to quote Casey Kasem, to keep reaching for the stars.

10. This BAT represents the the power of the people
to evict *bush and company. That is the goal, and the carrot on the string we all want to bite. Even if you don't think Dean is your candidate, DONATE to the cause. It is inspirational and representative of the real feelings we have about *bush.
