I've heard his Spanish is decent from people who speak the language.

"WASHINGTON - Presidential hopeful Howard Dean (news - web sites) is reaching out to Hispanic leaders with a 30-second television ad airing in New Mexico this weekend during the Democratic National Committee (news - web sites)'s Hispanic summit."

"We're doing our first Spanish-language ads in Albuquerque," Dean said in an interview with The Associated Press. "It will be straight-on shots of me speaking Spanish."

11. He's so good at taking the lead

on action, that I'm not surprised he's already beginning spanish ads. His strategy has worked so far, why change it?

12. At the Presidential debate in Albuquerque,

they said his Spanish was OK, but the content of the message was not.

He fell down with the average Jose and Josefina.Not totally anti-labor and anti-small-business but didn't get any brownie points there, and these are big Hispanic constituencies here.Just reporting, not knocking the candidate.
