Moseley Braun Focuses on Issues, Not Personalities

Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun Stays Above the Fray

New York, NY - In a field of nine angry men, Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun stood out as the candidate who offered a positive vision for the future of America.

While the other candidates engaged in attacks on each other and painted a bleak picture of America, Ambassador Braun talked about positive steps we can take to make America a better place.

In offering her prescription for universal health care coverage, Ambassador Braun talked about the benefits of universal health coverage for businesses, workers currently covered by health insurance, and the uninsured. The other candidates traded barbs about the shortcomings of their opponents’ plans and statements.

In discussing the costs of the continuing occupation of Iraq, Ambassador Braun stated that despite her opposition to the war, we must support our troops and admitted that it will take further appropriations to finish the job. She was the only candidate who based her answer on discussions with family members of our troops stationed in Iraq.

Instead of engaging in class warfare, Ambassador Braun talked about the responsibility of those who succeed financially in this country, while the other candidates talked about tax cuts “for the rich.”

Ambassador Braun provided the only positive voice about America and her future. She has the experience, the ability and the ideas to heal and renew America. In all of her public service, Ambassador Braun has broken down barriers, built bridges and brought people together to achieve solutions that put the public interest first.

Ambassador Braun believes that Americans respond to a message of hope and optimism, and will continue to emphasize renewing the American Dream throughout her campaign.

1. Gotta Hand It To You
You really are a tremendous credit to your candidate. You have never wavered in the face of all odds. I speak for many DU people when I say that you have earned our respect.

2. Unfortunately, it won't matter one whit.
CMB has too much baggage she cannot overcome. Just like the very able Al Sharpton. No way. Not gonna happen for either one of 'em.

4. It just tears me up
Carol is one of the smartest, warmest, kindest and most caring people it's ever been my privilege to meet, but it's just not gonna happen. *sigh* :(

9. I respect her
I just wish she were running for Senator again or some other office she has a chance of getting elected to. We need more people like her in government.

She was the real class act on the stage in New York. Not my candidate, but she acted the most presidential.
