More great news! Tennessee Representative Harold Ford Jr., who has endorsed John Kerry for President, will serve as the National Co-chair of the Kerry Campaign.

Rep. Ford is one of the Democratic Party’s rising stars and a prominent leader in the African-American community. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 11, 1970, Congressman Ford is the eldest son of former U.S. Representative Harold E. Ford and Dorothy Ford. He was elected to represent the Ninth District of Tennessee in 1996 at age 26, and is now serving in his fourth term in the House. (For more information about Rep. Ford's legislative priorities and career, please visit his official web site.

Team Kerry welcomes him aboard!

1. I'm not a big Ford fan
Although this probably helps Kerry among moderates, Ford is a bit too conservative for my liking...although if he were more liberal, he probably couldn't be elected in Tennessee.

6. Same with Feinstein. And Biden.
Would think they would line up more philosophically with Joe. Hmmm.

3. Cool, this is a good move
I'm pleased Kerry is putting a black man in such a prominent position, the Democratic party sometimes neglects this important demographic, in my opinion. The more minorities that vote Dem, the better. This will also probably give Kerry a boost in the states with a large black community.

5. Didn't know that
I know who she is, but I didn't realize she was his campaign manager. Good for him.
