1. If it's the Town Hall Meeting that was
aired on Friday evening, you won't be disappointed. It IS good.

2. It was thought provoking...
A few highlights...
On Social Security, Gen. Clark expressed a traditonal democratic view that it should be kept out of the hands of the private sector. People have enough opportunity to invest in the stock market--without having to gamble with social security funds.
On taxes, he favors a progressive tax system that enables those who have received more benefits from society to return more to society in the form of higher taxes.
On the environment, he gave the impression that he realizes what a critical situation we are in becuase of global warming.

All in all, he gave off enough progressive vibes, that I cannot see him as a DLC plant--unless he lied. And I cannot be that cynical to buy that line.Gen. Clark also handled himself very well, was personable and responsive.

3. That's how Clark number go up so quickly...
As soon as people see him and hear him, they understand that they are looking at the next President of the United States.

4. I've been looking for this
Thanks. I heard it was his best presentation so far. Seems like all the hype of this speech was warranted.

5. I watched it after posting it
And I was amazed. I would be relieved if any Democrat won--but with Clark I think I'd actually be proud.

6. I don't think any other candidate has made me as proud to be a Democrat

This was one powerful townhall meeting.

Edited to add: Did you see the way he apologized and took responsibility for the sexually abused military woman? Wow.
