If you think Kucinich's positions have merit -- SEND BREAD TODAY!
It's the last day of the quarter. This is the right day to give him money. Even if you're supporting someone else on 'electability' grounds, putting money into Dennis's campaign is an investment in a better tomorrow. It's what the rightwing does (except that their 'better' is our 'disaster').

Please, do it now. Even a dollar will help.

18. A lot of the kids around here want to contribute too.
Some of the kids around here are taking up collections for Kucinich that they can send in because they want to help out and the campaign finance laws have really limited them. It's really stupid that kids can't contribute on their own.

2. I just got the below email appeal:
Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2003 12:38:46 -0700
Subject: A Day to Smile (spread the word)
From: "Jeff Cohen - Communications Director" <info@kucinich.us>

Today we've earned a smile, even a laugh, after all the hard work that has brought the Kucinich for President campaign this far.

Today, Tuesday, is also the quarterly deadline for donations. Thanks to you, thousands of dollars are pouring in each hour by phone, mail and Internet -- and they'll be matched by federal funds.

To make sure the donations keep coming in, I offer you a deal: You spread the word to new donors until midnight tonight, and I help you smile.

First, let people know they can make a credit card donation over the phone toll-free at 866-413-3664 or online at https://www.kucinich.us/contribute.php

NOW, THE SMILES
There's no better place to meet fun, creative, like-minded neighbors than by going to your local Kucinich MeetUp gathering. It's this Thursday in a venue near you. Sign up and RSVP here: http://kucinich2004.meetup.com/

FOR MORE SMILES, turn your speakers on! (Disclaimer: The creative expressions below are not official statements of the campaign.)

Here is Scott Bateman's animation on the "Patriot Act." It's a shockwave file. http://www.batemania.com/animation/films/kucinichpatriotactfinal.swf

Next, the brilliant rap song, "Go, Go Dennis" by Joel Tyner:

KEEP SMILING AS YOU DONATE: https://www.kucinich.us/contribute.php

--
PS. OUR FAVORITE WEBSITE: "The Kooch" 4 Prez
Don't miss this website promoting a candidate named Dennis "The Kooch" Kucinich. http://www.thekooch.com/

PLEASE DONATE before midnight Tues., Sept 30.
Online: https://www.kucinich.us/contribute.php
Or by phone: 866-413-3664 (toll-free)
Or by mail (check must be dated Sept 30): http://www.kucinich.us/#bymail

PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL.

PS: Yes, I "gave" early this morning, as much as I could spare.

6. I'd support him IF I thought he could win.

He's just too far behind and too unappealing to the indies and swingers. Too bad, really. I guess Dean will have to do for now.

12. I really dont care about that really
I just think its flat out annoying when time after time we are told our doesnt have a chance genius. I may not show it but it frustrates me well as a matter of fact I do show it. Its so sad that superficality is a cause of many people's reluctance on this great man. He is such a great guy and he inspires me.

20. In registering new voters, 90% are for Kucinich.
(Have been registering voters at the Dem party booths at local events and at the Farmers' Market for 10 weeks now.)Greens are switching parties like crazy so they can vote for DK.At the local university, the only candidate with a club to support him is Dennis. The former Green candidate for governor, who got over 10% of the vote, is working for DK. What were you saying?

He's getting back people who dropped out of the system years ago. This is good for the Party. Many of Dennis' ideas will go into the Democratic Platform if he shows strong support.

24. Actually, he has a very strong base of support
among independents. Meet up with a group of supporters anywhere in the country, and you will find a broad mix of democrats and independents and 3rd party voters coming back to the fold to work and vote for him.

8. The question is not whether I think his positions "have merit", ....
they do. The question, is his electability. Unfortunately, as much as he may deserve a shot at it, he's not going to get it. So, if I only have a limited amount of money to donate, which is the case, I am going to give it to who I think has the best shot to unseat Bush. Nothing against Dennis, and I wish it were otherwise. Sorry.

but I think hes more electable than most think. He has won where others have failed. I wish I got a dollar everytime someone said this though. It seems to be the only real beef I see with him here at DU. It annoys me but if thats all, whoa.

23. Yes give Dennis his due
Who was one of the brave few after 9/11 when he could have given in to the fears of the nation by voting for that patriot act, Dennis Kucinich said NO, he now is trying to repeal that, he knew the war was wrong early last year. Dennis deserves better than this. I am though still proud of him for appealing to my heart.

That isn't bad. He should make 1.5 to 2 million this quarter. Not bad in comparrison to the other candidates(except Dean).

Kucinich ain't out of this yet.

The main thing is we need to get the word out there about our candidate. Everyone who sees him turns into an enthusiastic supporter. And if someone hasn't donated all they can, please do. America needs your help.

30. We made the goal! $1.5M
Which amounts to a mill a month to spend, with matching.

I myself was hoping for 3 mill before matching, but I think there were a number of factors working against that, most notably the Dean campaign's success at raising money, but also the people to whom Dennis appeals: poor people. The nice part about poor people is that there sure as hell are a lot of us these days.
