Gary Hart in NH on Wednesday for Kerry
Gary Hart in NH Wednesday!

New Hampshire has loved Gary Hart since he won The Primary with a truly grassroots-based campaign in 1984, so the Kerry team here is very excited about his return to the Granite State this Wednesday, November 5, at 12:30 p.m. at Manchester's West Side Library - to campaign on John Kerry's behalf!

He is now recognized as an expert on counter-terrorism and national security. And Gary Hart - like so many others who understand national security - is backing John Kerry for President!

Join us in Manchester this Wednesday to find out why. Call (603) 622-9100 or email nh@johnkerry.com to save your seat!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

foreign policy experience is extremely important considering the disaster BUSH INC. has put the you.s. in the middle of. eff dubya.

1. It's encouraging to see who the party's elder statesmen are backing
and here is an expert on foreign policy no less.
John Kerry is THE man to entrust our nation's national security to. Period.

4. Hart/Rudman terrorism report- he's a top level foreign policy expert
and we're only interested in his endorsement not his 'endowment'.

40. Hart-Rudman mattered against Bush here, but not against Dean.
The Deanies will throw him out like garbage because Hart knows that Dean doesn't have a grasp of foreign policy and will likely say so more often.

5. Hart is one of the top minds on national security and
foreign policy. He worked at Clinton's behest for 2 1/2 years to study terrorism and came back with the Hart-Rudman report. Bush ignored it.

Go ahead - Ignore Hart's assessments. Bush did. That worked out well for the country, eh?

7. Dean had nothing to do with the internet success.
The internet movement was already in place, and so was meetups. The media started pumping Dean as the liberal antiwar candidate (when he was neither liberal or antiwar) and said he was the only one attacking Bush and the support $$$$ followed.

10. Another Kerry campaign blunder. Kerry ABSOLUTELY doesn't need
Hart involved here at this point. This campaign is being run by 'old ideas' that will NEVER work in this '03 environment. There is/has been a complete lack of connection in Kerry's campaign since Day 1.

Dean '04...

P.S. I know the blah! blah! response of 'gray headed expert, party leader blah! blah! blah!' but as a Dean supporter I KNOW this won't help and it is so transparent and apparent that Hart will further remove the wind from Kerry's sails. You bring Hart in with an unknown running for state rep or something. Not this.

43. Review Kerry's vote for war. Dean's brilliance shines in ALL areas. His
abilities and intelligence will mean no more young Americans dead in foreign lands because Kerry & others weren't bright enuff to 'figure it out'. It will mean truth and honesty and pride in America. It will be a cleansing process for all Americans. Vote Dean for now, for the future. Howard Dean...It's Time!!!

Not much different than Kerry's stance.

Dean just had the MEDIA proclaiming him antiwar and liberal when he was NEITHER.

If Dean is telling people that he just wanted the irrelevant Hart to feel included, then maybe there's a news story in there for Dean. Heck...I can think of some reporters who would love that angle. Dean Dismisses Hart. Just Felt Sorry For Him.

18. Dean is afraid people will hear about his depth of ignorance
on foreign policy. Hart said earlier this year that neither Dean or Lieberman had the chops on foreign policy that are needed now more than at any time in our history.

Hart is someone Dean would call for help, because Dean didn't have a clue. "Gary, what do I do?" Hart knows more about each of the candidates and their level of understanding of national security issues than ANY of us here.

If only to have his voice on the national stage for awhile.

He's one of the major reasons I'm leaning toward Kerry. I hope he can have some positive effect for Kerry in N.H.

how ignorant he thinks Dean is on foreign policy. Back in May after he decided not to run, Hart told a reporter that neither Lieberman or Dean can handle foreign policy. They were the omly two he singled out for criticism other than Bush.

20. I'm familiar with that quote
Dean never was on the top of my list, but when Hart said that about him, I gave him a second look - and he's been dropping ever since.

I still think foreign policy is going to be THE issue in 2004 - an issue that Dean can't win on.

22. It can only help
Kerry to have Gary Hart campaigning for him in New Hampshire. The guy does know a little about what it takes to win that particular primary!

Also Max Cleland appears to have made a big impression in Iowa this week speaking up for Kerry. It's quite hard to see Cleland these days without a lump appearing in the throat. It really is unbelievable the depths to which the Republicans plummeted in order to defeat him.

I think any Democratic presidential candidate would be proud to have such fine Democrats as Max Cleland, Gary Hart and Ted Kennedy campaign for them.
