The flag controversy makes the latest episode of the Bully George comic
Episode 54 of "The Continuing Adventures of Cowardly Tom and Bully George" jumps right into the controversy. The two kids who write and draw the comic are from California, a Union state.

1. One of the authors is Natasha H., the kid Kucinich supporter
What a surprise: ardent supporter of one candidate attacks another candidate. Wow.

2. Will DU have Confederate flag avatars after this weekend?
Now that Dean has made the Confederate flag so acceptable.

3. Will they have cheap, craven political opportunism ones?

Maybe we can have some "I'm a white, paternalistic liberal who takes remarks out of context" ones, too... :eyes:

This faux outrage has brought all the paternalistic liberals out of the woodwork. Maybe we can even have a "Tell the South to go to Hell!" ones... :eyes:

8. You're the one telling southern liberals to go to hell.
Legitimizing the Confederate flag is a bad thing, an unAmerican thing and no amount of spin doctoring will make it go away. Further Dean is strengthening our adversaries. How can any boycott be called against these Confederate flag issues when one of the 2004 dems thinks that sucking up to the Confederate flag is a good thing? Dean could have described that pickup truck a million different ways.

11. They are strongly opposed to racism
After the Trent Lott controversy broke out, they started dressing the Republicans in sheets in the comics.

12. That's cool, but Dean's not a racist

14. His positions on criminal justice and on the flag issue
certainly come across that way. If he isn't, he should do something about changing his positions.
