Poll with Vilsack as VP
<snip>
Dick Gephardt's the strongest test for President Bush according to our Survey USA Poll of 508 registered Iowa voters. Gephardt wins a head to head match with the president by four points. But when we put in Governor Tom Vilsack as Gephardt's running mate, the President and Dick Cheney now win the contest. Overall, the Vilsack factor's a minus five for Gephardt.
Howard Dean also wins head to head versus the President. He's ahead by two points. But again, look what Vilsack does to the race. Dean's ticket ties the President's. The Vilsack factor's a minus two for Dean.
John Kerry offers another tight match with the President. He loses by one point. And once again, Vilsack on the ticket hurts. Kerry drops a point. The Vilsack factor's a minus two.
Wesley clark fares the worst in a head to head matchup with President Bush. He loses by 11. But our poll shows running with Vilsack would help him the most. Clark loses by just five. The vilsack factor becomes a positive, at +6.
