Dean workers active in Ohio
FRom Cincinnatti Enquier:

With 100 days before a crucial multi-state Super Tuesday primary that could decide the Democrats' presidential nominee, the campaign of national front-runner Howard Dean has the ost visible presence in voter-rich Ohio.

Dean supporters are making contacts and raising money in Ohio with a grass-roots effort that includes potluck dinners, meetings with supporters, internet contacts, volunteer workshops and handouts at Bengal games.

"The Dean guys are all over the place," said Hamilton County Democratic chairman Tim Burke.

2. Despite my ire at some of the more nasty Dean supporters ...
.... I have never in my life seen a better run campaign than Dean's. What he and his supporters are doing is amazing. They give me hope that one day we might actually take this country back ...

5. not really a distant fourth
Lieberman leads with 18%, followed by Gep at 14% and Kucinich at 12% with Dean and Kerry tied for fourth at 9%--only 9-points out of first, 5-points out of second and 3-points out of third. and lots of undecideds.

I think Dean will do very well in Ohio.

7. Once Ohio is exposed w/ Dean
and AWD -- it'll be winners all the way around.

Republican stronghold on Ohio is already weakening -- voters unhappy with Taft and the Republicans.

Dean might actually gain a larger traction once Gephardt and Lieberman move down to its deserved 4th-5th place.

Just ask any Ohioans right now if they would prefer Dean, Bush, Lieberman, or Gephardt.

4. That's good because
ohiodems.org has been emailing their local members (at least twice) with a link to the washington post story, which ends with:

..."If the Democratic game comes down to states like Ohio -- and I think it does -- then Wesley Clark or Dick Gephardt may be better positioned than Dean to oust the president. For Democrats who despise what Bush has done to this country and its good name, that's no small thing to consider. "

--I don't know if this guy is just reading the polls, or like so many 'journalists', believes he knows every GD thing.
