Dennis receives Heart of Humanity Award at Peace Sunday
From the Kucinich campaign
DENNIS HITS THE ROAD

At dawn on Saturday Dennis voted against the Republican bill to begin privatizing Medicare. And with that, he was off. Having spoken by phone to a sold-out crowd at a fundraiser in New York Friday night, Dennis was free on Saturday to hit the campaign trail in person, speaking at events in Billings, Montana, and San Diego, Calif. On Sunday he joined Danny Glover, Shelley Morrison, and Tony Plana for a public dialogue in East Los Angeles, before giving the keynote address and receiving the Heart of Humanity Award at Peace Sunday at Agape International Spiritual Center. Previous recipients include Dr. Robert Muller and the Dalai Lama. http://www.kucinich.us/pressreleases.htm

FTAA and SOA

Dennis has spoken out against the proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas and commited to closing the School of the Americas. Over the past few days, many Kucinich supporters have joined in protests and suffered physical abuse from police while demonstrating against the FTAA in Miami, and suffered another sort of infringement of their first amendment rights in Georgia, where the military blasted music painfully loud in an attempt to prevent the demonstration against the SOA. http://www.kucinich.us/pressreleases.htm

1. This is GREAT
I know of at least two DK supporters here in MN who went down to the SOA protest-- I'll have to get full reports from them tomorrow or something.

Also, IIRC, Dennis is the only candidate who's even TALKING about the School of the Americas. It makes me wonder if the other candidates even know what it is.

Dennis's opposition to the SOA is another big reason why I support him. He's the ONLY presidential candidate I've ever known even discuss this, let alone oppose it.
