I just sent the following to Leslie on CNN's Late Edition |
|
since I couldn't get through on the damned phone.
Mr. Blitzer, There were three polls taken immediately after the debate, and now others are being released which all clearly show Americans have judged Kerry the winner of the first debate. Why do you invite the party chairmen on the program to tell us (in your words) "who won the debate"? The polls show we already know. This smacks of the "We report, you decide" spin tactics of your rival.

2. i wrote to thank him for some |

credible reporting ....for a change.
He checked facts; he confronted some spin and he attempted equal time to each.

4. Excellent. I am thinking of doing the same thing |
|
Of asking him why CNN has to have the "but" after grudgingly agreeing that Kerry won the debate. And that I have to wonder whether the access of their reporters to the W.H. might be in jeopardy if they will tell the truth.

which also asked who won the debate.
Kerry 93% Shrub 6% Neither 1%
So, Wolfboy...if you have any more dumb questions, feel free to ask the public.

6. if the media was not biased for Bush |
|
today, instead of trying to "even-out" the debate, and instead of asking whether it was a mistake for Kerry to imply or call Alawai a puppet, Wolfed would have been grilling Ed Gillespie about why Alawi's speech and words about the progress in Iraq were written by the Bush administration while Bush was saying he knew how things were going in Iraq from what Alawi told him.
That's just one example. But it's a big one. Imagine Clinton saying that. And this relates to actions by Bush which have resulted in the death and maiming of thousands upon thousands of human beings. If this were Clinton, they would be debating impeachment.
But, instead Wolf knows his job right now is to erase the impact of Bush's performance in the debate. The insult is that the other side calls the media biased FOR KERRY!
Bush can only survive if truth and reality is stood on its head. The media is willing to do this for Bush.
